CREST AWARDS LOGO

We are delighted to have gained CREST Award accreditation for our STEM workshops. These will be delivered as part of our education programme. Working in the renewables industry, all of our activities are built on components of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Through interactive hands-on learning, pupils of all ages can explore and investigate every aspect of STEM. These workshops offer contextualised learning at a level accessible to all ages/abilities. We focus on the link between activities in school and how the content applies in the World of Work.

Our workshops can help you work towards completing your Star Award and your Superstar Award

If you’d like to find out more about what the CREST Awards are and how you can get involved, check out their website here: http://www.crestawards.org/

Farewell Lorna

Category : Latest News

It’s a sad week for the BGH Team, as Lorna moves on to pastures new. Lorna has been with us for 2.5 years, and has been a highly valued member of the team.  We will miss her greatly and wish her well in her new role with Fife Council.

The rest of the team will be continuing business as usual (perhaps with their sad faces on for a wee while). Please call 01333 439321 and leave a message or email info@thehydrogenoffice.com. Alternatively send us a message on social media or through our website www.brightgreenhydrogen.org.uk

Any project queries should now be directed to David and education queries directed to Karen

The Sun is Shining!

The Sun is Shining in Scotland

Did you think that it is always grey and rainy in Scotland? Fortunately, for us, this is not the case. In fact, in this area June is our sunniest month of the year, which is also often the month we get the least wind. This is why we have combined solar and wind power in our microgrid based in the Energy Park, Methil, Fife.

We have just looked over our solar energy generated in June 2018 and we are delighted with the data. We knew it had been an unusually sunny June, but we have generated more solar power than expected. Our total solar energy generated in June 2018 was over 20,000 kWh, compared to 17,000 kWh of solar energy generated in June 2017. So the sun does occasionally come out in Scotland! Let us hope we have many more sunny summer days ahead of us to help our PV panels meet the energy demand of the microgrid.

To find out more about our solar generation or wind generation statistics, book a tour. Tours can be run Monday to Friday during business hours.  Alternatively ask about our consultancy services, where we can help you design your project.
