UK First for Hydrogen Bin Lorry

As part of the LCEP Fife Council is obtaining a hydrogen/diesel refuse collection vehicle. This lorry will be used in the evening to collect refuse as the hydrogen aspect makes the vehicle quieter than a standard diesel lorry, thus providing less noise disruption for surrounding homes.

Using the hydrogen/diesel fuel for the refuse vehicle is a first for the UK, and should this trial prove successful, you may be seeing more on the evening collection routes!
