Mind the Gap!

January 19, 2018

Bright Green Hydrogen and Bright Green Business are working in conjunction to offer Midlothian Council on a new schools programme called Mind the Gap.

Mind the Gap is an educational programme designed to address the Midlothian key growth employment sectors. 12 Students from Midlothian Secondary Schools will be given the opportunity to experience master classes in these sectors, including;

  • STEM
  • IT
  • Finance
  • Hospitality

Sessions will take place over 12 weeks and aim to inspire students to build their own future through presentations, employer talks, hands-on workshops and workplace visits.  These interactive activities will be used to communicate key skills including team work, problem solving, time-management, networking and interview skills.

The sessions will run from April to June 2018, and are aimed at those studying National 4 or those looking to leave school in the summer. Classroom sessions will be held at a central school location, and pupils will be expected to make their own way to site visits.

We are currently looking to identify suitable students for this programme. If you have any interested students, please email: brightgreenbusiness@thehydrogenoffice.com

Although supported by Midlothian Council through the Schools Vocational Directory, this programme is funded directly by the schools. Cost per student is £525 for the 12 sessions and will be invoiced in advance.

We help demonstrate the role the energy efficiency, renewables & hydrogen play in reducing the impact of climate change and securing the world's future energy supply.
